Position: Office Manager /Program Liaison
Status:
An employed position of two five-hour days a week, at $12-an-hour
during a 2-month training period, and increased to $15-per-hour. The
position start will be April 15, 2011.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The
Office Manager and Program Liaison is responsible for the day-to-day
office functions and to stay abreast of committee activities in order
to give support to the committee chairs. The position could grow to
include the Bookkeeping position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Receive and direct incoming phone calls during working hours.
- Answer and direct all e-mails.
- Assist Last Fridays Chair event coordination.
- Coordinate the annual fundraising letter.
- Maintain the data software Giftworks.
- Receive and direct correspondences.
- Coordinate the monthly newsletter.
- Maintain the day-to-day office functions such as filing and ordering supplies
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:
- Experience in professional office environment.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and database experience required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Friendly, articulate, welcoming demeanor that encourages interest in the arts.
- Ability to organize an office, manage multiple tasks, and attend to details.
- Sound judgment.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
- Marketing, fundraising and experience with Quickbooks preferred. Knowledge and experience with graphic and website software is a plus.
