Free Spirit Freedom

Free Spirit Freedom is a Hillsborough, NC-based community group that exists to organize a series of public exhibitions and cultural events that explore common history and diverse heritage in Orange County. The mission of Free Spirit Freedom is to link Orange County’s past to its future, connect the generations; and build bridges among a broad spectrum of diverse cultures.

The Hillsborough Arts Council is acting in the capacity of fiscal agency for this group until it receives it's non profit status.

Free Spirit Freedom – Outdoor Cultural Affair

On Saturday, September 24th at Historic Moorefields, Free Spirit Freedom will host An Outdoor Cultural Affair featuring an appearance by the highly acclaimed actress and storyteller, Joyce Grear, in the role of Harriet Tubman.

Enjoy music by the popular gospel duo Mary Moffitt & Anthony McCrea, Hillsborough's Second Chance, El Viento Canta with Peruvian music and Wilton Dubois on steel drums. Includes tours of the Historic Moorefields homestead and Free Spirit Freedom photographic exhibit in the garden. Home-cooked food by local vendors.
