A TRUE BARD
Mike Troy, Poet Laureate,
Hillsborough’s first, sang through words
His love for his wife, his love of life.
When winter comes, with winter weather
Laura knits our town together.*
A versifier who rhymed his way
Throughout the day in shops
On Churton Street & King,
At Cup-A-Joe’s, reciting on the wing.
When you travel the world around
You find warm spots just like our town.*
A lyrical wordsmith, furthermore,
With the spirit of a troubadour.
Mike is poetry.
