National Poetry Month Reading
The First Annual National Poetry Month Poetry Reading will be hosted by Orange Dog Poets on April 21, 2011 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Burwell School (319 North Churton Street--location has been confirmed).
This poetry recital will honor the First Poet Laureate, Mike Troy, and the incoming Poet Laureate, Barbara Kenyon. Performing poets will include Barbara Kenyon, Frank Doonan, Max Preston, Avairam Marshall, Jerry Eidenier, and Mike Troy.
The public is invited and there is no charge for admission to the poetry reading.

The Orange Dog Poets seek to recognize and honor Mike Troy's poetic contribution to the cultural fabric of Hillsborough by placing his portrait in a significant public location. The painting is by local portrait artist Dorothy Whitmore.
