Featuring paintings by Jennifer Miller, and “Art of Collective Exuberance” by Jayne Bomberg and Tom Guthrie.
The Skylight Gallery featuring "Animal Farm: Recent Silkscreens” by Nathaniel Hester. This show of twenty prints is the perfect way to welcome in the new growth of spring as it captures the joy and youthful exuberance of rural farm life. Each piece uses dynamic shapes and vibrant colors to abstractly interpret the essence of some of our favorite critters and creatures from the wild kingdom including turtle, buck, goose, bumble bee, and dog. The series has exhibited throughout the country - most notably on display at the International Print Center New York (May 2-June 7, 2008) and has been acquired by many prestigious museum collections including most recently the Newark Public Library. Mr. Nathaniel Hester, maintains a studio on a ninth generation family tobacco farm in the Hester's Store Community of Person County, North Carolina. Artist reception on July 25 from 6 – 9 pm.
