Committed to providing a unique shopping experience in downtown Historic Hillsborough, the Gallery offers a venue for emerging and mid-career artists to exhibit and sell their work. In addition, HAC's Gift Shop offers a beautiful and varied selection of well-priced gift items: wood, pottery, glass, fiber, note cards, jewelry, metalwork, birdhouses, calendars, art prints, linens and hand-painted silk scarves.
Presents “2020 Artists,” a preview show of the artists who will exhibit in the HAC Gallery during 2020. Artists include Erin Bell, Judy Grant, Laura Hughes, Emily Lees, Elaine O'Neil, Sudie Rakusin, Amanda Richardson, Suzan Scribner-Reed, Greg Smith, Carol Strickland, Dorothy Whitmore, and Debra Wuliger.
HAC is also celebrating a special exhibition at C3 Hillsborough:
Hillsborough Arts Council and Orange County Arts Commission at C3 Hillsborough, 128 North Churton Street presents "Paint it Orange: Plein Air Paint Out Wet Paint Sale." This program, brought to you by Application Architects, features over 100 paintings from 50+ artists who painted scenes of Orange County in September. On view through November. The November Art Walk is the LAST CHANCE to shop the Wet Paint Sale!

Founded in 2006, the gallery is owned and operated by 22 local artists, featuring painting, sculpture, photography, glass art, jewelry, wood, pottery and fiber and textile arts.
"The Art of Giving" at the Hillsborough Gallery of Arts. Members of the Hillsborough Gallery of Arts present their holiday show November 11 – December 31st with an Opening Reception on November 29th from 6 - 9pm. Each holiday season the members of the Hillsborough Gallery of Arts transform the gallery to showcase original ornaments and hand-made gifts. The gallery's 22 members work in a variety of media, providing a wide array of fine art and fine craft for holiday shoppers. The glass art includes hand-blown vessels, ornaments, solar lights, paperweights, and jewelry. Fiber art on display includes framed fabric collages and hand dyed stitched cloth. The jewelry in the show covers a variety of styles and techniques, from copper and bronze to sterling and fine silver necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings, some with gold accents and stones. Visitors will also find metal sculpture, handmade art dolls, pottery, turned wood, and carved ironwood with turquoise and silver inlay. Fine art photography, oil and acrylic painting, scratchboard, and mixed media work festively surround the three-dimensional pieces on pedestals.

The Hillsborough Artists Cooperative, founded in 1992, is upstairs over Antonia's restaurant. Studio artists are Jennifer E Miller, Andrea DeGette, Jacquelin Liggins, RobertaWallace, Jayne Bomberg and Tom Guthrie (The Studio of Collective Effervescence), Nan Kuney, Lauri Daughtry, and Crystal Hardt.
Presents a group exhibition of collage and assemblage work - surprisingly eclectic creations by members. Gallery visitors will have an opportunity to try their hand at a community created “collage et plus” piece throughout the holiday season. Reception: 6-9PM, Friday, November 29 with works remaining on view Saturday and Sunday afternoons until January 26, 2020.

Presents "A Different Light" by artist Arjun Gupta, prints on metal. Also continuing this month, "New Works" by artists Cade Carlson, collage and spray paint.

As Hillsborough gains recognition for being an art scene, Bakova Gallery couldn't have come at a better time. The new gallery will bring a unique flare to the scene. Representing artists, both nationally and internationally, from contemporary to pop-art, Bakova is dedicated to the rise of the young artist, established professionals and art lovers alike. Bakova's soft opening is on a last Friday of November and the grand opening soon to follow. See you there!
