HILLSBOROUGH ARTS COUNCIL'S NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
“The programs and events presented by the Hillsborough Arts Council each year are exceptional and create a rich and vibrant Hillsborough,” says Torey. “I am thrilled to be stepping into the Executive Director position and to use my experience and education to promote growth and economic prosperity in our community through arts programming and education.”
The Hillsborough Arts Council is pleased to announce that Torey Mishoe will be joining us as our new full-time Executive Director effective October 15, 2018. Torey has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Management from Appalachian State University, and Masters of Art degrees in both Art History and Museum Studies from Syracuse University. Her previous employment includes Manager of FRANK Gallery in Chapel Hill, and Development Associate at North Carolina Public Radio (WUNC). Torey has been involved with the arts for most of her life and recognizes the important role of the Hillsborough Arts Council. She is a committed advocate for arts education and programming that is inclusive and accessible for all populations.
