Hillsborough Jazz Festival
For five years the Hillsborough Jazz Festival brought a diverse array of music fans and artists together in northern Orange County. The festival honored jazz legends that are historically connected to North Carolina. The festival honored Billy Strayhorn (twice), Nina Simone, Thelonious Monk and Billy Taylor. All five outdoor festivals were held on the grounds of the historic Moorefield Estate. Replacing this festival will be the Music Masters Series. This series will be held indoors at the Whitted Building in downtown Hillsborough. The goal is to still make Hillsborough an influential player in hosting different genres of music with the Music Masters Series. We strive to contribute to the cultural and economic vitality of downtown Hillsborough.
Thanks to you, our audience, our donors and sponsors, our dedicated volunteers, board and staff for making the Hillsborough Jazz Festival an excellent community cultural experience that was never ordinary.
