Hillsborough's 2022 Solstice Lantern Walk!

Solstice Lantern Walk is an annual, winter-themed event, celebrating creativity and community. For Hillsborough, NC, it's become a tradition to gather and usher in the colder, darker months together.

After sundown, we'll follow a procession along Hillsborough's River Walk with lanterns lighting our collective path to the warmer, brighter days ahead.

We're thrilled to announce that, with generous support from Hillsborough's Tourism Board, this year's Solstice Lantern Walk features a *NEW Solstice Market, showcasing a select number of local artists, live music, hot drinks, warm food, and more to be enjoyed before and after the walk. 

Once the walk and market come to a close, we encourage you to tour the gingerbread scenes on display in many local shop windows and to patronize downtown businesses. 

Grab dinner, a drink, dessert, peruse in-town artist wares and gifts, and support local this winter season!
