Lanterns should be handmade and winter-themed.

Please use yellow, white, or blue LEDs to illuminate your lantern. No flashing lights. No flames.

Bells and chimes welcome.

The most important thing is to get creative and have fun with it!

We encourage you to bring your wildest lantern dreams to life for this event! Check out our Pinterest Board (linked above) to help stir your imagination.

Want to protect your lanterns from the elements? Seal paper lanterns by coating them with a clear aerosol lacquer spray.

Join HAC at SAF during November's Last Fridays & the Art Walk for a FREE, self-guided lantern-making activity open to all ages. We'll have a variety of papers, embellishments, and lantern-making tools and supplies on hand. Come craft a lantern that symbolizes what home means to you!
