The HAC will continue its volunteer-driven ArtCycle Program during the pandemic to meet the need for art supplies. Orange County Schools (OCS) are now offering online instruction and ArtCycle will make donated art supplies available to art teachers and to their students who are studying from home.

The pandemic and concern about spreading the virus make it more difficult to collect and distribute art supplies. To avoid risks and to increase donations, HAC has partnered with the Orange County Schools Director of the Arts, Shannon Braxton. HAC and OCS have worked together to create a public Amazon “Wishlist” where area residents can purchase items to be sent directly to the teachers. Please use the URL below:

www.hillsboroughartscouncil.org/artcycle-wishlist

The teacher’s “Wishlist” identifies art supplies that will be distributed to children learning from home. The list will be updated as needed. Items include drawing pencils, watercolor sets, markers, crayons, sketchbooks, and other paper, glue sticks, and much more. Various options have been added to the Wishlist for each item to allow our community members to support this program within their own budgets. HAC and OCS welcome supplies from physical and online stores as well as from individual donors.

If you have supplies that you’d like to donate, please contact us at info@hillsboroughartscouncil.org to coordinate a drop-off or pickup time at a designated location. All supplies are kept in quarantine for at a minimum of 72 hours prior to distribution to teachers, staff, or students. All donations will be delivered to Orange County Schools art teachers but due to the various overlapping requests, we cannot guarantee any one teacher will receive a specific order.

Supply orders from the Amazon Wishlist should be shipped directly to:
