All HAC events are town-wide celebrations of creativity and community! Many local businesses support Solstice Lantern Walk by offering their own additions to the fun, extending their hours or offering Solstice Specials & Promotions to this year's walk participants!

While in Hillsborough, we encourage you to plan a little extra time to grab dinner, a drink, dessert, peruse in-town artist wares and gifts, and support our beloved, local businesses this winter season!

WHIT'S Frozen Custard - 240 S Nash

Stop by for a Solstice Sundae! Vanilla custard with whipped cream, snowflake cookie, and sprinkles.

Anne & Arthur Art Shop - 220 S Churton

Open for extended hours, 10 AM-8 PM. Last-minute lantern supply support!

Saltire Gallerie - 209 Burnside

Open at 2 PM with cookies for Solstice Participants. Visit the ancient source of Solstice in the art of the Highlands before the Walk!

Margaret Lane Gallery - 121 W Margaret

Open 11 AM - 8:30 PM. Stop through the Gallery before or after the walk to warm up, and:
• See our Star Light, Star Bright (I Wish) show with work from 14 local artists
• Enjoy light refreshments
• Make an ornament at the children’s free craft table
• Pick up last-minute gifts

We will be open until 7 PM. Offering hot apple cider!

Antonia's - 101 N Churton

Offering hot chocolate, hot spiced cider, coffee, lattes, and cappuccinos, all in carry-out containers. In addition, we will be offering a "Solstice Carryout Special" - 10% off all carryouts the whole day on December 21st. As always, we will seat guests for dinner up to 9 PM, so there should be plenty of time for those who would like to dine after the walk. For an evening such as this, reservations are suggested, but not required.
