In the spirit of the Living Arts Collective (LAC) & Hillsborough Arts Council’s (HAC) ongoing collaboration and commitment to bringing artistic expression, embodied movement, dance, arts education, healing arts, and community building to Hillsborough, you can look forward to LAC experiences at the following upcoming programs:
1. Last Friday, October 31, 2025 - Live on the Lawn - community drumming workshop, a Witches Flash Mob, and live music by the Living Arts Collective!
2. Saturday, December 20, 2025 - Solstice Lantern Walk - Live music and performances along Riverwalk!
3. Last Friday, May 29, 2026 - Live on the Lawn - Programming for next season’s Makers Market launch!
4. Last Friday, August 28, 2026 (the Last Friday before Handmade Parade) - Live on the Lawn - Programming showcasing our Handmade Parade main characters, promoting and building energy for the parade!
5. Saturday, September 19, 2026 - Hillsborough’s Handmade Parade, brought to you by HAC!

No matter your experience or comfort level with drumming, dance, or art, these gatherings offer an opportunity to appreciate, activate, and expand. All are welcome!

The Living Arts Collective is an organization dedicated to artistic expression, embodied movement, dance, education, healing arts, and building community. Whether in their a co-creative studio space in Durham or at Last Fridays in Hillsborough, LAC holds an open space for voices of all ages, races, religions, genders, cultural backgrounds, shapes, sexual orientations, and educational backgrounds to be heard.
LAC experiences are brought to Last Fridays and YOU through collaboration between the Hillsborough Arts Council, the Living Arts Collective, and Drumming for Wellness NC, and community supporters.
