The Hillsborough Arts Council generates over $80,000 in income each year to 65+ artists in our local community.

Through the Gallery & Gift Shop, we’re able to nurture and support emerging artists in nearly every medium.

We welcome over 12,000 guests annually to explore and shop more than 2,000 unique artworks for sale in our prime location in downtown Hillsborough, NC.

Plus, HAC serves as a tourist destination for many first-time visitors, advocating for the other galleries, boutiques, music venues, restaurants, events, and arts partners that surround our Gallery & Gift Shop.
A lot of impact for only 1,200 square feet of physical space!
And we’re not done growing. Our vision is to expand our representation of the Hillsborough community as a flourishing artists haven, a safe space for creativity, and a welcoming home for ALL backgrounds.
