HILLSBOROUGH EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR POSITION DESCRIPTION
Primary Duties:

Leadership
-
Participate with the Board of Directors in the implementation of HAC’s vision and strategic plan to achieve goals and objectives of the organization.

Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures which govern the operations of HAC
-
Act as advisor to the Board of Directors on all aspects of HAC’s activities
Financial
-
Signature authority for outside vendors and programs within limits established by the Board of Directors

Financial management and budget oversight in collaboration with HAC Finance Committee.
Program Management
-
Provide leadership in program evaluation, creation, development and implementation. Assess relevancy to meeting the needs of the Hillsborough arts community within HAC’s mission statement and strategic plan

Provide direction, information and staff/volunteer support to facilitate the effective implementation of HAC’s programs and events.

Serve as primary liaison between Board of Directors, Executive Committee, program committee chairs, volunteers and external stakeholders to ensure clarity of goals.

Oversee and administer all external marketing and communications. These may include but not necessarily be limited to social media, HAC’s website and newsletter, radio, television and print media.
Administration
-
Responsible for all administrative operations.

Hire, train, supervise, review and terminate (when necessary) HAC part-time staff.

Research funding sources and write funding proposals/grants to increase HAC’s funding and assure sustainability. Prepare all grant reports in response to requirements and deadlines.

Serve as first point of contact for all regulatory government agencies to assure compliance with Town and County requirements. Serve as first point of contact for all media and the public.

Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws, regulations and guidelines.
